The Nut & Nettle in Bridlington
Located within the Queens Hotel in Bridlington is the 100% plant-based restaurant, The Nut and Nettle. The menu here is full of a variety of delicious vegan meals that will exceed all your expectations of what vegan food is. Their lunch time specials menu is changed regularly and has previously included some tasty options such as wild waffles, focaccia ‘sandwiches’, pumpkin, peanut and red lentil curry as well as some delicious soups. Breakfast lasts from 9am until 11:40 am, lunch is served from 12pm until 3pm and coffee and cake can be enjoyed all day between 9am and 3pm. Thursdays are dedicated to enjoying sweeter things in life with coffee and cake being served instead of the usual full food menu on offer.
Love Brew Cafe in Scarborough
In the heart of Scarborough is the cosy, plant-based cafe Love Brew Cafe. Here you can expect a friendly, warm welcome as well as a variety of homemade vegan sweet treats and delicious foods. Weekly specials have included their twist on the Mexican classic dish Huevos Rancheros made with tofu scramble and their weekly nourish bowls have included hummus nourish bowls and jackfruit jambalaya nourish bowls. Sweet treats that you can indulge in range from double chocolate cookies with salted almonds and tasty fudgy brownies, to yummy flapjacks and fruity scones. Gluten free options are also available. Feel free to bring your dog along as you enjoy some coffee and great food as dogs are very much welcomed inside.
Ska-Ka in Scarborough
Sha-Ka is a relaxed eatery serving up mouthwatering Hawaiian inspired fusion cuisine, savoury dishes, sweet treats and artisan coffee. Their menu includes plenty of vegan options that will satisfy all your cravings. Vegan options include Sha-Ka’s chick’n hula tacos, Sha-Ka’s buffalo chick’n, chick’n poke bowls, burgers, fries and buffalo cauliflower. If you fancy a sweet treat after your meal, or with one of their perfectly roasted coffees, there are plenty of vegan cake options also on the menu.
The Purple Carrot in Malton
Found in the centre of Malton is the Purple Carrot, a completely vegetarian and vegan cafe serving up delicious food inspired by a variety of different cultures. The cafe is open for brunch,
lunch and for coffee and cake making it the perfect spot to pop into on your lunch break, your day off or in between running errands. The Vinehouse Cafe in Helmsley
The Vinehouse Cafe is a family run cafe located in Helmsley Walled Garden that is committed to serving up the freshest food using only quality ingredients that are sourced from the Walled Garden where possible. Their menus change regularly and items are based on the current season, with vegan options available and a side salad served up with every plated meal. Delicious, freshly ground coffee from Dancing Goat can also be enjoyed during your visit as well as fragrant loose leaf teas from Hebden Tea.
Kamthai Restaurant in Whitby
Kamthai is an authentic Thai restaurant found in Whitby with plenty of vegan options you can fill up on. All five of their wok fried dishes for £9.95 are available to be enjoyed with vegan alternatives and there are vegan starters and sides that can be enjoyed with the rest of your meal. Vegan dishes on the menu also include pad kra prow tofu, garlic and pepper bean sprout, preo wan pak, and pad pak ruam all for only £9.95. There is also a set vegan menu available for £19.95 per person spring rolls, golden parcel, sweet corn cake and tofu satay for starters, broccoli and mushroom in onion and pepper sauce as well as stir fried vegetables with cashew nuts for the main course, with mixed vegetables and steamed rice for side dishes.
